At last night’s AIA Seattle Honor Awards, the jurors noted Seattle’s love of steel and how it appears on many of the built projects in this area. Several projects receiving awards showcased exposed raw and oiled steel. We agree that it is a wonderful thing and we love to use it ourselves. We’ve written about our “love of steel” before, but thought it worthy of pointing out again since it was such a talking point last night.
For what elements do we use this wonderfully diverse, high recycled content, and timeless product?

If steel defines Seattle, then we are happy to be a part of building the Seattle style!
I love the idea of utilizing steel in all sorts of outdoor projects – and what beautiful photography to really point out how great it can look in the wonderful and rainy PNW!
