Director of Human Resources
Kirsten was introduced to the world of Human Resources through an internship with the Walt Disney World College Program in 2002. She officially began her HR career in 2005 as the HR Representative for the Union League Club of Chicago, a private membership club in Chicago, Illinois. Over the course of her 25-year career, she has worked across both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, with organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Amazon, and now Nussbaum Group.
She finds great fulfillment in supporting employees with their professional development and career goals while fostering an inclusive environment where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to bring their best selves to work. As Director of Human Resources, she views her role as the rudder of a ship, helping guide the organization toward its destination of quality, collaboration, and success.
Kirsten enjoys the culture at Nussbaum Group, where a diverse group of people from different backgrounds, environments, and ethnicities come together. The team values connection, and there is a strong sense of camaraderie both during and outside of work.
In her free time, Kirsten enjoys archery, a serious hobby she has pursued for the past two years. She also loves to travel, both domestically and internationally, and feels fortunate to live so close to Canada, which has opened the door to even more travel opportunities.
