Matt's background in Landscape Architecture combines his passion for the natural world with creating places that connect people with the outdoors. After working on parks, public spaces, and trail projects, he realized he was just as interested in how landscapes are built as how they're designed. That curiosity led him from the drawing board to the construction side of the industry, where he enjoys helping bring ideas to life.

Matt enjoys the process of transforming a design on paper into a built landscape. He appreciates that every project brings new challenges, opportunities to learn, and the chance to collaborate with talented people across a variety of trades. For him, it's the combination of problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail that makes landscape construction so rewarding.

At Nussbaum Group, Matt enjoys being part of a team that takes pride in delivering exceptional work and creating spaces that leave a lasting impact. He values the collaborative culture, the behind-the-scenes coordination that makes each project successful, and the shared commitment to quality that carries through every stage of the process.

Outside of work, Matt loves exploring the Pacific Northwest, whether that means hiking a new trail, discovering a scenic cycling route, or camping somewhere he's never been before. He's always looking for opportunities to try something new, meet new people, and step outside his comfort zone. When he's not exploring, you'll usually find him cheering on Seattle sports or searching for his next favorite golf course.
